A good discussion forum in ASP???

I am looking for a good and light open source discussion forum script in ASP for embedding into our intranet. I like this one very much, but PunBB is PHP and I need it to be ASP.

I've checked a bit around and there is a lot of crap pretending to be serious discussion forums. Problem is that theoretically creating a discussion forum is technically easy so all kidz in the block take a plunge. However, a good script has plenty of little details -including aesthetics!- that makes it worthwhile. And to create this takes a lot of man-hours!.

Anyone?

Thanks

Re: A good discussion forum in ASP???

When I found this punBB I says wow this is exactly what I need..
But this is in PHP.
It's not such a big problem and as you can see here it can be runned on Win2003 Server without any seriouse
modifications. One note: it also required a mySQL or Postgress SQL. Not every windows hosting provide this db evnironments.

Of course pure solution will be a great and I think about making something like this using .Net +C# +SQL Server(Express).
Just not sure: will this worse a time which will be spend on it.. We all need some money to live. smile (cruel life:)

Yes.. I agree PunBB is great... but I definitively need an ASP based software... so no use to me. :-)

I still look for an ASP solution....

Re: A good discussion forum in ASP???

... lack of knowledge mainly

Let me give you some insides... you see, this is a very specific not planned project (that is, almost no budget!) that my team and me want to carry out. Let it be known that we're not programmers -rather "aficionados"- and that we're not on the IT business.

Among the limitations we have to face in this project are:

1.- we have to have it on an ASP server (actually we're taking the chance to use some available space alongside another app which is already running), and,

2.- we have to be able to set it up (and mantain it) ourselves. We're not a programming dept and our skills are "limited" to traditional ASP.

:-))

Yeah I understand  it.
But if the app. is coming with automatic setup this may solve "installation" problem?
Of course this does not solves "user modifcation" problem.

you are not gonna get much better than that , complete asp, no real need for additional components, and an acces or sql server version.

I have it on a busy site, and it never misses a beat.

hope that helps

I heard this having some security issues but can't give you any details.
